This "Startup Guide" will help you set up and become familiar with your WebAlerter account.
Notification Contacts
Notification Contacts are Email Addresses, SMS devices, Instant Messengers (MSN) etc which are notified in case of any outage or recovery event for your
websites.
When you first signup with WebAlerter, your signup email address is your only notification contact.
You can add notification contacts by selecting "Add Contact/Media" from Contacts Page
(be sure to select type of contact).
Website Monitors
Once you setup notification contacts, next step would be adding monitors.
You can see list of current monitors, their monitoring frequency & last status at any time by clicking
List Monitors on right navigation bar.
To add a new monitor, just click the "Add Monitor" button on the Monitors page. (be sure to select the type of monitor you want to add).
While adding monitors, you can select frequency & notification contacts which should be
notified during outage & recovery events.
Monitoring Status
Monitors page shows latest status for all your Website monitors. You can access monitors page anytime by clicking
List Monitors on right
navigation bar.
You may also check detailed status of your websites by clicking
Last Status on right navigation bar.
Event Logs
Event logs are logs of outages and recovery events for your websites.
Event logs can be accessed by clicking Event Logs on right navigation bar.
Monitoring Logs
Monitoring logs shows result of each check including date, time & monitoring location for each websites.
Monitor logs can be accesses by clicking Monitor Logs on right navigation bar.
Outages Logs
Outages logs shows downtime duration for each outage.
Event logs can be access by clicking Outages on right navigation bar.
Monitoring Reports
WebAlerter stores historical data of monitoring reports for period of 2 years.
You can access current & historical reports by clicking Reports on right navigation bar.
WebAlerter Seals & Public Uptime statistics
You can display WebAlerter Seals & monitoring statistics for your monitored websites from your own site.
